Second Life Wood™ boards are brand-new cedar boards that show more of nature’s personality. You may see:
- Visible knots or unique grain patterns
- Color variation from board to board
- Minor cosmetic bowing/warping that doesn’t affect assembly or strength
These boards would traditionally be sorted out for cosmetic reasons only. Choosing Second Life Wood™ keeps beautiful material in use—and keeps more money in your pocket.
How does it differ from the Original line?

Will my kit assemble correctly?
Yes. Our dovetail system is forgiving of cosmetic variation. If a board is unusually tight/loose, flip/rotate it or swap positions during assembly. Need a hand? Our team is happy to help.
